An introduction to strength training positions, movements and terms. Provides a foundation for further training.

  • 20 basic positions/exercises; 15 entry level terms
  • Focuses on body weight exercise; primarily in a single plane of movement
  • Training emphasis on maintaining proper posture during exercise, establishing safety habits, and developing a strong core
  • Working with a partner (spotting) is explained and encouraged
  • 6 sample training sessions for yearlong use are explained
